Apart from this, you can view more information about the required and optional arguments, when performing a command, by performing the **`/help `** command. Moreover... **`<>` -** means it's *required*.\ **`[]`** **-** means it's *optional*. Do note that you should not actually include the **`<>`** or **`[]`** symbols when performing the command. ### How to mention a user In **Attitude**, there are multiple ways you can mention a *user* when performing a command that asks you to do so, whereas: * **`@Attitude#4616` -** user mention * **`Attitude#4616` -** username with a discriminator * **`698073745876582482` -** user ID * **`<@698073745876582482>` -** user ID used to create a tag * **`<@!698073745876582482>` -** user ID used to create a tag {% hint style="warning" %} **Warning:** Unfortunately, all commands, in **Attitude**, will not support all the ways, above, when it comes to mentioning a user. {% endhint %} ### How to mention a role Moreover, there are also multiple ways you can mention a *role* when performing a command that asks you to do so, whereas: * **`@role` -** role mention * **`role` -** role name * **`811799191134797835` -** role ID {% hint style="warning" %} **Warning:** Using way **B** is not recommended because there could be multiple roles with the same name. {% endhint %} ### How to mention a channel Furthermore, there are also multiple ways you can mention a *channel* when performing a command that asks you to do so, whereas: * **`#channel` -** channel mention * **`channel` -** channel name * **`735940794107822081` -** channel ID {% hint style="warning" %} **WARNING:** Using way **B** is not recommended because there could be multiple channels with the same name. {% endhint %} ### Specifying a time duration There are some commands that will ask you to input a time, this can be a command like the temporary mute command, and you can input the time as the following: * **`1s` -** one second * **`1m` -** one minute * **`1h` -** one hour * **`1d` -** one day * **`1` -** if no suffix is specified, the bot will default to *seconds**.*** Lastly, kindly know that suffixes are case insensitive. ### Providing a feedback You will be able to provide your personal feedback, about **Attitude** and its services, and what you love most about us at our [**Trustpilot**](https://www.attitudebot.com/trustpilot/). # Getting Started These are the steps on how to setup Attitude on your Discord Server. ### #1 - Checking your permissions In order to add **Attitude** to your discord server, please make sure that you have either **`ADMINISTRATOR`** or **`MANAGE_GUILD`** permissions on that specific server that you are willing to add **Attitude** to, otherwise, **Attitude** may not have the complete permissions when it comes to specific features in the bot, such as logging and moderation. Afterward, you can head to this link [here](https://invite.attitudebot.com/) to invite **Attitude**. ### #2 - Select your server The link above will take you to an authorization page where you will be able to select your specific server to add **Attitude** to. Although, before doing that, make sure that the invite link has the **"Create commands in a server"** permission enabled for slash commands to function on the server. Once you have checked that, select the server you would like to add **Attitude** to and click **Continue**. ### #3 - Grant Attitude its permissions The next page will take you through a series of permissions to grant **Attitude**. With that, we have selected the needed permissions that we require you to grant **Attitude** for its commands to fully function. If you believe that some commands are not functioning due to the bot missing some needed permissions, we hope you could report this to us by joining our [**Discord Server**](https://discord.attitudebot.com/) so we could update our invite link. {% hint style="info" %} **Important:** Please do yourself a favor and grant **Attitude** administrator permissions to get the best experience out of us. {% endhint %} ### #4 - Authorize Attitude Once you finish granting **Attitude** the needed permissions, you can go ahead and authorize **Attitude** and complete the captcha, and you are good to go. # Interactions These are the new features we have added to Attitude's rewrite. An **interaction**, in **Discord**, is the message that a bot receives when a user uses an application command or a message component. On this page, you will get to know more about **Slash Commands** and how you will be able to view **Attitude**'s list of commands. ### Slash Commands FAQ We are happy to announce that **Attitude** now has slash commands! With that, new users, who will be using **Attitude** will no longer have to guess how commands work or try to figure out which ID goes where, since slash Commands are here to make your life a whole lot easier. #### What are Slash Commands? **Slash Commands** are the new and exciting way that allows you to interact with **Attitude**. Whereas, with that, you will be able to just type **`/`** and view the list of commands **Attitude** has to offer. The most epic thing about **Slash Commands** is the fact that it has a validation and error handling system that helps you in getting the command right the first time. If you have been an old user, at **Attitude**, you used to perform the **`!help`** command and receive a wall of text in response, or as known as the **Attitude Help Center**. Now, instead of having to google **Attitude**'s commands and figure out the list of other commands **Attitude** has to offer, **Discord** has saved your time by having you type **`/`** only. You will be able to read more information about the new **Slash Commands** feature at [**Discord's Slash Commands FAQ Article**](https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500000368501-Slash-Commands-FAQ). ### Other interactions We have also used the new **Message Buttons** and **Message Select Menu** features at **Attitude**. # Bug Hunting Hunt for bugs in Attitude and get special badges and rewards. ## Attitude Bug Hunting Welcome to the official **Bug Hunting System** in **Attitude**! ### What is a bug? A bug, in a discord bot, is an unexpected behavior that mostly degrades a user's experience while using the bot. This may be a command that isn't working, coins or items getting duplicated, exploits, buttons that aren't functioning, and much more. Sometimes, we are unaware of those bugs, but with the new **Bug Hunting System** that was recently released by **Attitude**, the users of the discord bot will be able to report the bug so we can track these bugs down, and reward the user with custom roles in our support server, a special badge, custom prizes, and much more, depending on the bug, itself. ### How do I submit a bug? The main reason why we're all here is to report bugs, right? #### Before reporting a bug Make sure that you are in the [**Discord Server**](https://discord.attitudebot.com/) of **Attitude** as the command, that you will be performing to report bugs, will only be accessible at there. The reason on why we did this is to prevent users from abusing such commands that get immediately forwarded to the developers of **Attitude**. You must also make sure that you know how to reproduce the bug that you have found while using **Attitude**, in addition to mentioning what you think should happen and what actually happened, instead. #### Reporting the bug After you have confirmed with all the above steps on what to make sure before reporting a bug, you will be able to finally report your bug by simply performing the **`/reportbug `** command and mentioning the bug you want to report in the **``** argument. We have made things easier for you when reporting a bug, whereas we have divided the **``** argument into multiple sections allowing you to mention the steps on how to reproduce the bug in one argument, the expected results on another argument, and the actual results on another argument. #### After reporting a bug After you've successfully submitted your bug, it will send an embed to our **#bug-reports** channel, on our [**Discord Server**](https://discord.attitudebot.com/), and will be added to the approval queue so the developers of **Attitude** will be able to review it and test the bug. Once the developers of **Attitude** have passed the review, the bot will send you a direct message whether your bug report has been **approved** or **denied**. Whereas: * If your bug has been **approved**, your bug can whether make immediate changes to the bot, or be waited till the next update to arrive and have it fixed, along with some bug hunting points that is depending on the level of the bug. * If your bug has been **denied**, it will mention the reason why it was denied, with unfortunately, no bug hunting points. ### **How do points work?** The more serious a bug is towards **Attitude**, the more points you get. The term **serious bugs** can be bugs like security breaches, serious exploits, and more. ### **What are the rewards?** In the **Attitude Bug Hunting System**, once you receive: * **8 Bugs Reported:** You will receive the badge, the "**@Bug Hunter"** role, along with 50 mystery boxes. * **15 Bugs Reported:** You will receive the badge, the "**@Bug Buster"** role, along with 50 mystery boxes and 3 exotic boxes, too. ### What do I mention in the bug? When a user submits a bug, we hope to receive the following information from them: * **Title:** A short description of the bug in one sentence. * **Reproduction Steps:** A list of steps on how you could recreate the bug. * **Expected Result:** What do you think should happen? * **Actual Result:** What happened instead? * **Attachment:** Attach a screenshot or a video to help support your bug report. In addition, please avoid describing bugs as *glitchy*, *broken*, or as a *weird feature*, since those words are not very descriptive to report a bug and that it doesn't explain to us what is actually going on for us to give a fix to. ### Final Note This command should only be used when you are reporting a bug, therefore, you should not use the command with an excuse of testing or anything related, since doing so would result in either getting you punished from reporting bugs or from **Attitude**, overall. # Community Programs ## Verified Server Program The verified server program is currently **open**. You can simply perform the **`/applyverified`** command, on your discord server, and we will take it from there. {% hint style="info" %} **Note:** You must have **`ADMINISTRATOR`** permissions in order for you to apply for the verified server program, moreover, you must, also, have at least 250 members on your discord server to be eligible. {% endhint %} # Reporting ### What will I be able to report? You will have the ability to report anything that violates [**Discord's Terms of Service**](https://discord.com/terms) and/or [**Community Guidelines**](https://discord.com/guidelines), however, if this is an issue that is occurring outside of our bot, **Attitude**, then unfortunately, we will **not** be able to take any action in regards to this, but instead can be handled by the [**Discord's Trust & Safety Team**](https://dis.gd/report). **Keep in mind:** We will **not** be able to take any action on the user's account, itself, since unfortunately, this will have to be something that is going to be managed or handled by the **Discord's Trust & Safety Team**, themselves, only.\ \ Instead, we will, only, be able to blacklist the user from using **Attitude**. ### How can I properly report an issue to our team? In order to properly report an issue to the **Attitude Team**: * First, you will have to join our [**Discord Server**](https://discord.attitudebot.com/), since we manage the reports at there. * Next, you will have to head to the channel called **#support.** * After, you will have to write your report by being as descriptive as possible along with providing pieces of evidence to help support your report. * Lastly, wait for a staff member to respond and manage your case. {% hint style="info" %} **Note:** Please note that for privacy reasons, we will not be able to share the specifics of the action taken, if any. {% endhint %}
